We’re back again (our last trip was in March 2016) and this time we went back for our wedding dinner reception.
 
Two words: Dream Wedding.
 
The wedding was well executed. It was far beyond our expectations. Bianca managed to bring our ideas to live and add so much more unique elements to it. It was a garden wedding with royal rustic theme.
 
The wedding was based on my love for the colour maroon, together with warm lightings like fairy lights and chandeliers. There was also lounge seating area for our younger guests to further emphasise on the casual yet intimate feel we were going for.
 
The food we had was mind blowing. We had cuisines from all over the world (italian, mexican, spanish, chinese, lombok-ian, etc.)! Not just was the spread unique to our wedding, it was also top notch. Every feedback we gave during food sampling was taken seriously and the changes & improvements were evidently reflected on that evening itself. All our guests kept going on about how good the food was.
 
Kenny and Bianca were also very flexible to our last minute requests for changes. For example, we removed a few items from the dessert spread and added more items to the appetiser section just a few nights before and they had no issues with it. We changed our complimentary drinks from juice to mixers (sodas) with no issues either. They also manage to provide us with a projector and screen even though we requested for it pretty last minute.
 
Professional floral and hair/makeup arrangements were also provided (but of course you need to pay for these services respectively). Sound system was also provided and there were no issues with our playlist because we had tackled any possible blackouts (which would cause the wifi to go off and interfere with our playlist if it was an online playlist) by subscribing to Spotify premium, a suggestion provided by Bianca.
 
All in all the wedding set up was gorgeous and extremely dreamy. It made a lot of our single friends consider having destination weddings!
 
Aside from the wedding, the remaining days in Kebun were also just as amazing. This time we barely set foot out of Kebun because their villa was too beautiful and perfect to just sit back and forget all our urban worries.
 
Another reason why we barely even need to step out of Kebun’s premises is also because their cafe Gula Gila (right at the entrance of Kebun) sells almost everything. From toothpaste to toothbrush, adaptors, usb cables, cup noodles, insect repellent, and, of course, their signature coffees. I CAN NEVER FORGET THEIR ICE MOCHA NUTELLA! ALWAYS A MUST HAVE!!
 
One last reason why you don’t really need to step out of Kebun: their kitchen has revamped a thousand million times better. I mean, carbonara with poached egg on top? Why the hell not? They even have thai and local lombok cuisines on their menu now! Don’t even get me started on their breakfast. So many selections to choose from you wish you can have the stomach to have all at one go. Their improvements aren’t just about the spread; the quality of their food has also improved a whole lot. I really didn’t feel like heading out to eat ‘cos that’s how good their food were! The only times we went out for food was when Kenny & Bianca encouraged us to do so hahahaha.
 
Their staff are just as professional as before, if not better. Some even remembered us even after more than a year!!
 
Definitely will head back again and again to escape from city life AND relive fond memories created in Kebun.
 
LOVE IT!

Working with Kenny and Bianca from Kebun Villas started off as a regular job but we came away with so much more.

In this time we came to become as much a part of the Kebun family as the one we chose to feature in our video. The teamwork, camaraderie and care were very much palpable parts of the culture here.

I remember the brain storming sessions late at night with murtabak, nasi puyung and cheesy quesadillas that kept us going. With the exacting standards that all of us placed on the production, it sometimes got stressful but Kenny and Bianca always respected our opinions and we were always able to come to very constructive and productive conclusions at the end of each work day On our off days, Bianca and Kenny’s introduction of the island took us to difficult to find eateries with the best food and to the highest crests of the land, the Rinjani group of strato volcanoes. These were eye openers to me, and although both were inexperienced at hiking, they gamely went along with us. We braved the cold, the fatigue and elements together and were rewarded with starry nights, breath-taking vistas and lasting friendships.

Leaving out Dani and the entire staff would also be a disservice as their attention to our needs is something that cannot be dismissed. Dani’s guidance around the island was particularly invaluable as we navigated the nooks and crannies of the island. We particularly enjoyed visiting Dani’s family at his home village. What impressed us most, though, was the diversity of backgrounds that comprised Kebun’s workforce. The pluralistic community within Kebun mirrored that of the wider Lombok society. The harmony in which they worked was a very comforting and encouraging microcosm of the island’s general outlook.

As clients, Kenny and Bianca trusted us with the conceptualisation and creation of their corporate video which is indicative of our mutual trust, respect and esteem. We believe that the quality of our video, the Kebun Villas corporate video is a clear indication of the dynamic and synergistic working relationship we shared.

Have stayed at this lovely place for all my 3 visits to Lombok, due to me falling in love with this beautiful place and welcoming place we decided to have our management retreat in Kebun Villas.

A special thanks to the host Kenny and Bianca along with their team of professional staff, as they were very accommodating and professional towards our every need despite last minute requests and changes along with providing us good insights on the local attractions and delicacies.

Staying at Kebun Villas you have the best of both views, where you are set against a backdrop of lush green mountains overlooking the open sea. The location of the villas are set up to keep you away from the hustle and bustle of the main road ensuring a relaxing environment with wonderful views for your eyes to feast on.

Words can’t express enough good things about this place and the people working there, I guess you would just have to stay here to experience the true beauty and tranquility of Kebun Villas.

I was a member of the Acasys Group Malaysia which decided to have its annual management review and retreat at the Kebun Villas in December 2013.

For most of us it was our first time to Lombok. We were extremely pleased that we had chosen the Kebun Villas. We felt at home from the time we arrived and were met by Bianca and Kenny. Apart from the owners, each staff of the resort went out of their way, in a very professional manner, to ensure that everything we needed was seen to. As a result we had an enjoyable time both for the working bits as well as the relaxing ones.

In addition to the comfortable and well maintained rooms and facilities the restaurant also served great dishes at reasonable prices. The swimming pools were also convenient to access and well maintained. It so happened that my birthday fell during our stay at the Villas and I must say, thanks to my colleagues as well as the team from Kebun Villas, I had a memorable birthday celebration.

I was so pleased with my experience, that I recommended Kebun Villas to a couple from Malaysia, who were looking for an appropriate place to celebrate the lady’s birthday. They too came away extremely happy with their stay.

We were invited by Kebun Villas and Resort for a visit and a collaboration feature in our magazine. Bianca and Kenny, our hosts, took time out of their busy schedules to not only make our stay comfortable, but also to make sure we had the best local Lombok experience. Apart from the luxury of space and privacy (and the private pool!) at our Cendana Villa, we were also spoilt with the local sights and food that Bianca had insisted we try or we’ve not “been” to Lombok. The resort staff were very friendly but respectful, some even going over and beyond their normal duties to ensure we worked and played well.

Bianca was a breeze to collaborate with, and it was obvious all the staff enjoyed working at Kebun as well. We’d like to thank everyone at Kebun for our memories at Lombok, especially to Bianca, Kenny, Sam, and Dewi for their hospitality and brownies. Looking forward to seeing the fruits of our labour!

We always wanted a destination wedding in a nice island. But the only problem was that we did not want a beach wedding, as the air can get a bit sticky due to the sea air. So when we came to Lombok earlier in the year for a holiday and to check out some possible wedding venues, we were thrilled to have found Kebun Villas & Resort. It has the perfect combination of being in a fantastic island, near the beach and a garden villa to hold the wedding in.

We fell in love with Kebun Villas & Resort the moment we visited it. It was full of nice leafy plants and trees and had a very modern but tropical feel to it. The staff were all very warm and accommodating. What really won us over were two things: Cendana Villa and the management team of Kebun Villas & Resort.

Cendana Villa is a gorgeous villa-within-a-villa. It is a private compound within the resort that is perfect for weddings (or any events). It contains a big pool, large leafy garden, three large bedrooms (more like mini-villas to us!), function room, gazebo, podium, small gallery, and a quarter room. It is so picturesque from the moment you step in.

The management team of Kebun Villas is headed by Bianca. They are so helpful, genuinely enthusiastic and excited about our wedding, paid careful attention to details, and highly organized. Nothing was left to chance. We found that these characteristics really took a lot of load off our shoulders so that we could concentrate on other aspects of our wedding. We had full confidence that Bianca and her team will pull everything off successfully. We conveyed our ideas and themes clearly to them and simply executed them to perfection. All of our guests were highly impressed too by the slick organisation.

In fact, I was extremely surprised that ours was the first ever wedding they have organised! Well, I certainly hope its not the last too as it is such a perfect place for weddings and I hope other couples can enjoy their special moments there too.

It’s rare for any owner of a resort/hotel to bond with their guests over late night drinks, less mentioning having them show you around the resort (understated luxurious) and bringing you on a city tour to explore the quaint island. But I’ve experienced all that.. Only with Kebun Villas & Resort.

The owners of the resort – Kenny and Bianca, they are one of the funkiest, most hospitable yet humble couples I’ve ever met! Whenever my boyfriend and I meet up with these two amazing souls during our 4D3N stay in the resort, their energy, sincerity and genuinity are deeply felt by us. And it’s precisely because of their attitudes that these were translated to become the core values and soul of Kebun Villas & Resort.

Over at the resort, there’s clearly this sense of belonging among the staff. Staff paid special attention to the little details, and will go above and beyond their normal tasks just to ensure guests are satisfied with their stay. My boyfriend and I have personally experienced this aspect, and their service level is truly exceptional.

My boyfriend proposed to me on his 30th birthday…. (I swear I didn’t see it coming!) And I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect proposal than this.. Everything just felt so magical… Thanks to Bianca and her team for pulling off this surprise proposal!

My fiancée engaged Bianca with the proposal planning and setup. From what he has shared, Bianca took time to really understand what was his vision for his proposal, and has relieved much of his stress and workload from the planning. In addition, Bianca was all too lovely and thoughtful to have tailored a proposal playlist with over 20 songs for our special day. She became the videographer, and got her 2 other crew on board to be the proposal photographers.

The venue decor was beautifully and creatively setup, with colorful tassels and our dating photos draping over the dedicated space. I particularly adore the floating floral alphabets “Will you marry me?” All these soft and thoughtful touches added intimacy to the entire proposal.

Bianca went above and beyond what was agreed and she took the effort to edit all photos and even the video! All within half a day’s work! Tornado of efficiency was what my fiancée used to describe this multi-talented lady! The video flowed so smoothly and beautifully which captured both our raw emotions and tears (of joy)… Many of our friends who have watched the video praised the quality of the video and congratulated us on our proposal. I felt extremely fortunate to have Bianca and her mighty team to be the planners for our proposal..

I am highly impressed with the professionalism and efficiency of Bianca and her crew at the resort. They had such an eye for details, and they meticulously took care of all the proposal arrangements, and are extremely creative with their proposal setup. The proposal was extremely romantic and amazing. No words are sufficient to express my fiancée and my gratitude to Bianca and her crew for making this trip such a special one for us.

So guys, if you were to choose your accommodation in Lombok, please, have 101% confidence in heading straight for the top dog in Lombok – Kebun Villas & Resort. You wouldn’t want to book with another hotel/resort which was heavily marketed yet the stay turned out to be less than exceptional. I’ve absolutely no reservations to recommending anyone who’s heading to Lombok to stay w Kebun Villas & Resort. Experience the stay yourself, and I bet you will be planning for your next trip back once you step into your villa room!

We had our department’s annual retreat here last week for 3 nights. Throughout our stay, the service/employees will go out of their way to make sure your stay is as pleasant as it can be. The location is great, away from the hustle of the big city, which is what we needed. Their pools are perfect and open for 24 hours!

There are so many serene and peaceful places to hang out and enjoy this paradise on the property. The breakfast buffet is a great way to start the day. We had our private BBQ dinner party at Cendana Villa which was the best. The service there was better than many hotels we’ve been to and the food was just outstanding. Receiving a welcome card by our names gave us a personal touch, and the managers will make sure you are well taken care of. They were very personable. Little extras like the cozy setup and the playlist for our dinner party, special request for birthday cupcakes for one of our staff (their cupcakes are to die for!), and the overall friendliness of the staff makes you feel very special, no matter what part of the hotel you are staying in.

We can go on, but don’t believe any negative reviews. They will go out of their way to make sure your stay is beyond perfect. Just ask them or tell them and they will take care of it for you. If there can be such a rating as 6 stars, we think Kebun should be the first to get it! If you are visiting Lombok, do yourself a favor and go straight to Kebun Villas & Resort. You will not be disappointed. Trust us! Without a doubt, impeccable service!

It was shortly after the survey trip conducted by a handful of my committee members in preparation for a full scale department trip, the managers of Kebun Villas & Resort who had already become our good friends gave me an idea to host my proposal in their beautiful hotel. This was back in July/August 2015 and I already had thoughts of getting engaged to my girlfriend, Michelle.

Thrilled by the idea and the sample pictures that were shown to me, I quickly took up their offer, and thus began the one year plan to the day Michelle and I took our relationship and our lives to the next level. Of course, this was kept secret from Michelle as the element of surprise was crucially the most important factor.

Throughout the planning process, both Bianca and Kenny were, as always, very accommodating. They agreed to go the extra mile to decorate the compound of their biggest villa, Cendana, and made sure they did not miss out even the slightest detail. They even managed to acquire a bouquet of sunflowers for the event as those are Michelle’s favourite flowers.

During the trip itself, they treated us like royals. The hotel staff greeted us at the lobby remembering us, as we remembered them, even though it had been nearly a year since our last visit. For 3 whole days we had our breakfast specially served in Cendana Villa. My parents, who secretly arrived on the second day, were treated with the same amount of love from the staff.

The proposal was nearly flawless, the only mistake was on my part where I wasn’t fully ready hence I was extremely nervous. But Kebun did their part, and if it was not for my fumbling, I must say the whole event was a perfect success. We are now happily engaged, and it would not have been successful without the help and support from both our families as well as the amount of effort Kebun as a whole put in for this special occasion.

If I had the ability to turn back time, I would still choose Kebun as the venue for my proposal. I highly recommend Kebun Villas & Resort as the ideal place to host auspicious events. We’ve seen their photos from garden weddings, other proposals, company retreats, and many other events, and we trust them completely to host any of our events in the future.

This is my second visit to Kebun Villa Lombok and I couldn’t get enough of this place! Peaceful and serene, surrounded by mother nature. Staff remembered us and we were greeted with friendly faces, day in and day out. Came here for a Company retreat last year and I remember telling my boyfriend that we should come back again for a getaway. So we planned a trip with my family this time around. Little did I know, he had a plan with Kebun’s owners, Kenny and Bianca for our proposal!

One word. Perfection.

We went out during the day for our snorkeling trip and when we came back, our villa was fully decked up. Flowers, lights, cameras, everything was on point. It couldn’t be any more romantic. The hotel was informed that I love sunflowers and they managed to get a sunflower bouquet for me and sunflower centerpieces for our dining table. The best part, there was a “Will you marry me?” sign made up of roses! This may be once in a lifetime but I dare say, it was the best experience for me and all of this will not happen if it weren’t for Kebun.

What impressed me was since my first visit here, they made new changes to the hotel and showed innovation and constantly trying to make their guest comfortable. They now have their very own café called Gula Gila for guest to get their coffee fix and indulge their sweet tooth. Kebun also came up with breakfast in bed where you can now order your breakfast to your villa. We had a massive spread every morning by the pool that made us feel like kings and queens.

With that said, I am definitely coming back here again next year.

Bianca and Kenny were both a godsend for our wedding and till today I have absolutely no regrets that we chose them to help coordinate our wedding. Bianca is a personal friend and hence was there from day one to help me in my planning and decisions. I am a huge planner myself however am super grateful that Bianca was there to help me when things got really stressful. She thought of things that never crossed my mind, and was there to point out the nitty-gritty details of planning and executing the wedding so we ended up not missing a single thing! She was able to anticipate many of the decisions that we didn’t realise that we’d have to make and was very organised throughout the entire process.

Bianca took heaps of time off just to sit down with me to run through the programme for the day, making sure that every little detail was addressed. She had her way of visualising the events in her mind to make sure the final event would run smoothly as planned. I had quite a group of friends who were helping out in various areas as well and Bianca was fantastic in pulling everyone together, to ensure that everyone was aware of their roles for the day. She also made sure she was present at every single rehearsal, meeting, and run-through that we had.

To be honest, this was one event in my life where I was able to just kick back and relax on the day itself. I trusted her wholeheartedly with the entire coordination of the wedding itself – not just because she was someone I trusted, but also because I had full confidence in her abilities after observing the way she worked in the days leading up to the wedding itself – and I’m glad I did! I was able to fully enjoy, relax and experience my wedding without having the additional stress and hassle of coordinating and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Both Bianca and Kenny were totally on the ball in coordinating with all of our friends and vendors to ensure that the programme ran the way I had planned it. Both my husband and I were incredibly impressed with how every single detail was executed according to plan and how the both of them were able to keep to the timeline as well.

Bianca also made an effort to update me on how everything was being executed during the wedding dinner itself, and made sure that I stayed calm and knew that she was on top of it all. This really helped me to just fully trust in her capabilities as these little gestures showed me that she wanted the event to be a success, just as much as I did. She was running around making sure that everyone was reminded of their roles and made sure that there were no hiccups at all! All without any complaints and she had a huge smile on the entire night!

They even had a secret arrangement with my husband who surprised me with an acoustic rendition of “Wonderful tonight”. I was incredibly touched by this and Bianca was there to pull out a chair for me and hand me tissues to wipe away my tears! I cannot recommend both Bianca and Kenny enough – they were the reason why my wedding ran so smoothly and why I was able to totally kick back and relax to fully experience my own wedding.
